Teeth Whitening
One of the most popular teeth whitening systems available on the market today is
the Zoom2 teeth whitening system. This modern whitening procedure provides an average
improvement up to eight or ten shades. This procedure, performed by our professional
dentist in Glendale, is long lasting, painless, and safe!
Dr. Martirosyan explains, at her modern cosmetic dental office in Glendale, that
Zoom2 is the most widely used light activated system by dentists worldwide nowadays.
As she receives the product, this one is delivered with all necessary materials
required for professional teeth bleaching in a single ready to use kit, including;
a whitener gel, a bleaching ultraviolet light and some disposable items to be used
on the patient while performing the treatment.
The Whitening Agents
The Zoom2 teeth whitening system uses a hydrogen peroxide based whitening gel proven
to be safe and gentle but effective on teeth. The product has two different components:
a hydrogen peroxide gel and an activator. Both components will be mixed in the right
proportion to produce a working gel with a 25% concentration of hydrogen peroxide,
with a pH level between 7.5 and 8.5.
A Common Fear Among Patients: Possible Side Effects
The teeth whitening system Zoom2 is not a new product to the market. It has indeed
been around for a long time already, which contributes to confidence while wondering
about some undesirable effects. Certainly, most patients would not report heating
effect during the procedure. However, some patients have experienced mild lip burns,
tooth dehydration and an increase in teeth sensitivity which will go away within
48 hours.
Duration of the Procedure
At our dental office
located in Glendale, the entire procedure with Zoom2 teeth whitening system
might last around 90 minutes. The whole process is carried out in three applications
of the whitening treatment. For each step of the procedure it is required an estimated
